How do I identify a species?
We do not offer a species identification service on the NBN Atlas, however there are many apps which help with ID including:
- We are the UK node for iNaturalist. This platform offers help with identification both on the website and app. For more guidance on how to identify a species using iNaturalist, please see their help guide here.
- The iRecord app also offers help for species identification.
- Search for the relevant recording scheme here which provides contact details and may be able to offer help with identification.
